weekending

it started with a new tire swing set up by grandpa
followed by a good hour of "watch me!  look at this!"
then leaving ezra on the ranch to run errands with michael.
we kissed in the checkout line at one store
it almost felt like a date being out and about without the bean
(a rarity in the last 2 and a half years)
tracking down the yarn at joanns to make this blanket for a bargain
- thanks to 40% off coupons given to me from bee.
bringing my mom with me to keep me company on the road
and then running her errands with her afterwards.
working on secret christmas presents and
wrapping a baby shower gift for a very dear friend.

going to the baby shower and spending a lovely day
with very special friends and their family friends
- people i've met before at the various showers
and special occasions where close friends gather.
it was a house full of women, mostly mothers,
some with their babies in their arms,
a few still in their bellies,
and a couple with their full grown daughters
beside them sharing conversation
and the array of delicious food that was being served.
coming home along pacific coast highway at sunset
marveling at the beautiful surroundings i grew up in.
packing for our trip up the california coast tomorrow
for a week's stay with my family.

  12. Congratulations to the mama to be...and also to you, friend:)
The candle holders you saw on my blog are made from tree branches we found at the park-- we saw them into small pieces and use a hole drill to create a space for the candle:):)
