first day on the ranch

well we made it back to the ranch!  we have been busy getting all of our things out of storage and setting up house in the little guest house known as the chicken coop.  ezra's auntie kristen - aka chicken - has graciously given up her home lovingly known as the chicken coop for us to stay in while we wait to be placed somewhere for michael's clinical rotations.  ezra spent a long time outside the first day playing with the dogs and seeing all the other animals.  he asked all day if he could go back outside to play.  it is great to be with family.  it almost feels like we never left.  our last 21 months living on a caribbean island does seem like a dream and the memory of our time there will probably always seem like a dream.

 while the horses and donkeys were eating their breakfast ezra threw the ball to the dogs in the corral.  he's so happy to have his dogs sunny and lola back.  we weren't sure if they'd remember us but they are spending a bit of time out in the chicken coop with us and lola slept with us the first couple of nights.

ezra mostly cannot get over how fun it is to run with the dogs.  there will be a lot more running outside for him and good times with the animals and of course family.  it's good to be back.
