my lucky streak

2011 has brought me a lucky streak of blog giveaway winnings.  first i won a pair of fingerless mitts from tara of on a branch.  she has an etsy shop with her cute practical knits and i am so happy i won these gloves.  they are soft cotton, washable, fit perfectly on my hands, and are adorable!  i also won a green sleeve from lovely lori of lori times five - she also has these and sometimes other knit items in her etsy shop.  this green sleeve is meant to protect your hands from your hot latte or your cold smoothie.  i used it for the latter as i'm not a regular latte drinker.  it was quite cozy for me to have my hand protective items the other morning when it was so bitter cold out (all of 65 degrees - but that is really cold to me!!!).  i wore both my gloves and dressed my smoothie with a sleeve so i would stay nice and warm.  these things were waiting for me in little packages when i arrived last week - wow it's been a week already!  and just yesterday i received another winner package in the mail from weefolkart.

 it had a little handmade felt treasure bag that ezra has already tried on and will be using in his play.  weefolkart is an amazing treasury of craft tutorials, an etsy shop as well as a preschool homeschooling curriculum that i will be starting with ezra in the fall.  all of these items i won were lovingly handmade and i appreciate the thought and work that went into each of them.  i think it will be an etsy year of giving!  thank you tara, lori, and kimara and michelle for your beautiful gifts!
