joy pockets

 a visit to my new favorite bakery for an apple croissant and herbal tea

 delighting in the natural beauty around me as i walked to my new friend's house on my birthday

 a delicious lunch of poached eggs on toast made by the aforementioned friend on my birthday

a sweet surprise brought home from whole foods from michael

ezra's happiness over birthdays, exclaiming, "it's all of our birthdays!" 

and after the candles were blown out, "how old am i now?"

a fun evening of coloring turned into a funny evening 

when my boy covered himself in spots while i was brushing my teeth.  

i especially like the big dot in his belly button.   

i had more joy come to me this week with surprise packages in the mail from family and friends for my birthday and envelopes filled with cards and cash.  i didn't take pictures of everything as my photography has been hindered by a broken camera screen, hence the many iPhone shots (which i'm getting really sick of the look of - sorry if you are too.)  a few other joy pockets in the week involved get togethers with my new friend and her daughter, their place, our place, the playground and a chilean eatery!  i'm overjoyed that we've found good friends here to spend time with.  there's a spring in my step and i'm happy that i feel myself again now that we have some friends to play with!  i'm 35 and i'm alive!  it's good to be here.
