indy is three weeks old today and is growing fast. i took pictures of him this morning in some of the things i knit for him because i think this is the last week he will be able to wear them and he really only got to wear them just a little bit. the first item - the super warm buga baby bunting was put on him for the first and (probably) last time this morning. not only is it much too warm to wear this warm pouch anymore here (what was i thinking?) but he's much too big and well... as you can see he wasn't too fond of it anyways. oh well. it was fun to make! trying to think of a baby boy in a colder part of the world who could use this. the puerperium cardigan was the first clothing article i made for indy and i think he wore it a few times. this boy grew out of newborn onesies after his first week and is on his way out of 0-3 month sized clothing. he fits comfortably into 3-6 month clothing already. he was 10 pounds 10 ounces last monday when we took him to the doctor. indy is our little giant. i'm not sure what to make for him next and am glad i've been working on a blanket and a baktus scarf for myself these last weeks. i think it may be time to knit for the winter in larger sizes or perhaps make some toy knits.

He looks so handsome in his red jumper. They grow too fast. It's hard to keep up. xxx
ReplyDeleteHe looks adorable in your knitting! It is so special, I think, seeing a little one in knits, you know how loved they must be, that someone took the time to make it for them.
ReplyDeleteI feel your pain though on them outgrowing newborn stuff way too quick. My girls where both big babies, 9lb4 and 9lb11, so we pretty much skipped all the newborn clothes!
Oh Indy, you are darling!!! And your knits are beautiful Anushka, regardless if they are only worn for a week or so...Sounds like he is absolutely a giant in the making, watch out world!!
ReplyDeleteAww, he is so cute! I love the red and the buttons.
ReplyDeleteIndy is so expressive when he sports his knits :) Gotta love his honesty. Thanks for the modeling!!
ReplyDeletehee hee, stop bothering him mum :)
ReplyDeletehe is GORGEOUS.
Indy is such a big guy! That is pretty crazy that
ReplyDeletehe weighs as much at his 3 week mark that
Solomon weighed at his 6 week mark!
I felt sad this week having to retire his puerperium
cardigan to the "too small" 0-3 month storage bin.
It was a really cute sweater on him while it lasted!
I'll have to send you a picture of Solomon in his
lyalya hoodie. It is so cute on him, how it frames
his face and makes him look like a big 'ole moon.
It kinda makes me crazy how cute he looks in it
and I put it on him all the time even when it is
not very cold out!
He is a pretty gorgeous giant!! My little for week old boy is about half his size I think... A tad over 2kg. He hates getting changed So trying to put a sweater on him would not work so well. I do however loveove that red sweater your boy is wearing!!
