thank you to all the kind readers, family and friends, who commented on my last post.  michael and i are both so grateful for all the encouraging love and support we have received from family and friends over the last 3 years. i remember the excitement as well apprehension we felt about moving to a caribbean island we had never even heard of when michael was accepted to the american university of the caribbean for medical school.  ezra was just 2 and a half when we left our home and family to move away for two years.  i became a full time stay at home mom and began blogging at journey.  with that first blog, i kept in touch with family and friends and made new friends - other bloggers - during a time where i sometimes felt isolated and lonely.  the support of my online friends is something i became very grateful for in addition to the new 'real' meaning non-virtual friends we made during our travels. i am so grateful for modern technology to keep in touch with them through the internet, using facebook, blogging, skype, and face time.  our gypsy lifestyle has made it sometimes hard to find new friends and keep the old, but through the internet, i have felt more connected than i'm sure my parents felt from all the friends they met along the way during their young life as a married couple living in 4 different countries due to my father's work.  we have moved back to california, to miami, and back to california again since our return and moved back in with michael's parents twice in that time.  we are about to live with them again after michael graduates medical school at the end of the month during the interim before residency begins in july.  the time we will spend together is one we are going to enjoy and look back on and be grateful we had it.  last weekend they came and helped us move 30 boxes back to the ranch where they'll be stored in an empty barn stall.  ezra and indy played with chicken, bee, and grammy while michael and his dad loaded the back of the truck.  i kind of flitted about and packed a few more and told michael which ones were ready.  it was a fun weekend filled with more excitement about what's to come.  we treasured our time on the island, but our time with family is even more precious than it ever was before.  i love keeping our family memories here and would like to continue but have decided to privatize the blog.  i'd love for you to still read my blog and just need you to email me your email address so i can send you an invitation.  i follow a few blogs that are private and it's just another click or two to get you there.  thank you for reading, all your loving comments and support.  i hope you will continue to do so!  wishing you all the happiest of holidays!

  4. Interesting, never heard of privatizing a blog.
Whatever your reasons are, I'm happy to stay connected.
