it seems like all the leaves fell in our neighborhood yesterday. i went around several blocks in awe, came back home for my camera, and took the same route again to take these pretty pictures. we are just coming out of our cocoon of the last two weeks. before my family came for thanksgiving, the boys came down with a virus that we thought was just a little cold. i thought they were already getting better the day everyone arrived, but it turned out they were only getting worse as i too began to feel the telltale signs of illness taking over my body. despite this little mishap, everyone had a nice time being together enjoying the holiday preparation together, the grand feast, and the days that followed. although we had plans to do this and that, we were mostly home, but that's the sweetest place to be anyways. and now that leaves have fallen, now that the seasons truly have changed, we too are getting ready to take leave and settle anew somewhere else for a while. ahh the life of a traveling med student's family. i feel like mary poppins taking flight with her umbrella in the stormy weather along with her carpet bag full of all of her things. ezra said he wants to make sure we bring his light saber. he's still not sure moving means we take everything in the house with us - that is probably because we have sold and left behind many things in our moves past. but, this time we're bringing it all - no planes involved this time or oceans to cross. just car loads, truck loads, and a horse trailer full of furniture thanks to our super awesome family. leaving here will be much easier than any move has been before. not only because we have the help of our family, but despite the pictures you see here and how lovely our neighborhood may look, we've been living in the most polluted city of north america for the last year. we're looking forward to cleaner air and more time outside to breath it in.

Beautiful pictures Anushka. I hope everyone is recovering nicely. Yes, the life with a med student - I am so glad we have each other to share the journey with. Good Luck with the next move. Chey xo
ReplyDeleteI am so glad you took that second walk with a camera, the photos are gorgeous! We moved around a lot when we were young from OH to TX to MI and then back to PA. It was crazy busy. Especially when there were kids!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful leaves!! I am in awe of the leaves changing every year. I wouldn't want to forget my lightsaber, either!! Priorities!! Goose is finally getting over a nasty virus. Thankfully, she was the only one to get it. I hope your new place is all that you hope for and can't wait to see pics!!!
