miami art museum

michael at the wall of wishes on ribbons before i was told not to take pictures - glad i snagged this one!

someone offered to take our picture outside the museum and i thought i'd try to stand at an angle to show my bump

i liked the tree lined drive on the way home from the museum
yesterday we went to the miami art museum with ezra.  he has been to the getty museum in los angeles, but was only 2 at the time.  this was the first time he really consciously viewed the art and was able to understand that we were looking at artists' work.  it was the perfect size, a rather small two story building, and they allowed for some interaction which made it more fun for ezra who would've loved to interact more with some of the installation art - most notably the refurbished animal rescue van.  michael and i were happy to see a richter, a rosenquist, and a rauschenberg painting while there and couldn't help but comment on how the blue chip artists always stand out - the composition, the lines, the colors, the quality of the surface - these paintings were ones we stopped to look at for a while, especially the rauschenberg and rosenquist.  it was also a special outing because we met up with my fellow blogger friend MJ who was visiting from orlando.  she and her family were lovely to meet and i am grateful for online friendships like these that have been made through this little pastime of mine.

ezra's masterpiece that he took home with him from the museum
my wish from the wishing wall is for a healthy baby

also, congrats on making the schooling, or non-schooling as it were, decision that fits your family.
i've gone back and forth, back and forth, but she's still only 3, so no rush.
