downtown miami and the miami river
heading over the macarthur causeway
can you see the full moon trying to peek through between the two high rises?
last night michael and i had the pleasure of celebrating our 10th wedding anniversary with ezra and christopher and annie who had just arrived to miami for a visit. our anniversary was on the 5th of august when we received a lovely card and gift from my dad and theresa - a 75 dollar gift certificate to several choices of restaurants. we picked carrabba's italian grill because it is nearby in miami beach. we left the house around 8:00 which is about ezra's bedtime, but he was very excited to see his uncle and auntie who are staying the night in south beach and said, "let's go!" the drive over the causeways and through the city was exciting for us all with lightning backlighting the cityscape every minute and a full moon trying to shine through the clouds. we haven't left the key at night since moving there over a month ago. this was a rare night out on the town for us and even ezra was enjoying the night life. when we picked up annie and christopher, they both sat beside a very excited ezra who quickly began playing silly games with his uncle. they were our first visitors in st. maarten and we are so grateful for their visit here in our new miamiland. there's nothing more wonderful than having family visit when you're far from home. we enjoyed the food and ezra just barely finished his pizza before falling asleep in our laps. he had to be carried out and slept in the car the whole way home. michael told me i was the best thing that ever happened to him and that he loved me. my heart filled up like a balloon and i must say the feeling is mutual. thank you dad and theresa for giving us this special night out and thank you christopher and annie for being here with us!
oh, that michael...you are so lucky to have each other, big congratulations on your 10th, here's to a lifetime more.
