new friends

i brought my knitting but only finished one row

it couldn't be more perfect that both boys have their own balance bikes
- except of course when one boy is upset that he isn't first (namely mine).

the boys encroached upon another set of boys baseball practice with their dad, but luckily they didn't mind.  in fact they spent an hour playing with them and we made some more friends!

this is my new friend karen.  it couldn't be more perfect.  we both moved to the same town within weeks of one another.  we each gave birth to baby boys within weeks of one another (you can't see them here both strapped to our bellies in carriers) and our big boys are close in age.  they are currently living down the road in a temporary place and i'm trying to convince them to buy a house in our neighborhood.  that would be even more perfect!

p.s. i hate my smile.  this is how i usually take my self portraits, but i couldn't help smiling with my teeth when i was taking one of karen and i.  but, this is me walking back to the park with a blanket and some cookies and water.  i was seriously happy.  seriously!  i'm feeling grateful to have made new friends in our new town.
