july

the month of july was our first full month in our new home, neighborhood, and state, the first full month of me being newly pregnant, and the month michael completed his psychiatry rotation.  with the onset of my round the clock morning sickness, we spent more time at home on the couch than i ever like to.  ezra has been playing computer games, which at first i was not in favor of but am now rather grateful for.

however, he still loves to play, build and create and has done his fair share of that as well.
michael's first rotation is known to be one of the easier ones as far as the schedule goes.  for 4 out of his six weeks learning about psychiatry we had most afternoons together which was really helpful for our transition into all this newness.

and doesn't he make a handsome med student?
because of his age, most of his patients all thought he was already a doctor.

with afternoons off, we went to new places together,

took ezra to his first movie,

played with him on the playground

and walked around the park while ezra road his bike.

on monday michael starts his pediatrics rotation at a hospital 40 minutes away.  ezra and i will hopefully get out a little more and at the very least find more creative ways to entertain ourselves inside considering it will probably still be in the upper 90s through the month of august (if you didn't know i don't have a car here).  i hope my morning sickness goes away and that i have more energy and a better appetite.  we are looking forward to a visit from uncle christopher and auntie annie in the middle of the month and a visit from gigi and poppy at the end of the month.  it has been lovely to have my mom's friend next door to us.  she is now a good friend of ours and we have spent a lot of time together as well.  i would like to blog more because blogging really helped me get through our island experience.  i am going to try to get back into the habit of blogging with the august break that i read about on mj's blog.  a picture a day.  that will hopefully get me shooting again and out of this building!

  3. Oh, I'm so sorry you're still sick. That really is so miserable, and just hard with a kiddo at home also. Hopefully it will come to an end soon. On the other hand... I am SO excited for you to have another one! When do you find out what the sex is, if you are?
I'll email you about Bakersfield. It had it's ups and downs, of course (but I only pictured the ups:). Overall it was better than I expected which was nice.
