indy at 8 months

during indy's eighth month he mastered crawling with a new smack of the palms on the tiles like duck's webbed feet slapping the cold hard floors.  he is very serious moving about and gets a serious look on his face now as he goes from room to room.  he has received free reign of the house - except for the bathrooms and a special barrier zone in the playroom specifically for ezra.  indy likes to crawl with toys in his mouth most notably a red playmobil pull back race car that he managed to suck all the hubcaps out of (don't worry they've been retrieved and placed in a bag somewhere to be hopefully not lost forever).  ezra, to whom the car once solely belonged, has changed his mind a few times about indy since his increase in mobility and probably use of all of his toys.  he has said the words, "i don't want indy anymore" and the other day he told him after taking a certain toy away from him, "i'm really sorry indy, but you just can't have that until you stop drooling and you can stand alone and are a little more complicated."  the last month has presented a new challenge with indy invading more of ezra's space and me trying to teach ezra to accept this change peacefully and lovingly.  he's working on it.  there have been a few rough days.  i'm hoping things will get better as soon as indy stops drooling, can stand, and is more complicated.

  2. Haha - love it!!!! So interesting what is a unique stage for Indy creates a whole other stage in the relationship between the boys. In the end they will be the best of companions.

  4. I can't believe he's eight months old! I loved when they could crawl and yet I frantically ran around the house blocking areas! Busy time :)
