michael started making these dot to dot pictures for ezra one day not long ago. he creates the picture with dots and numbers and ezra connects them and colors them in learning his numbers and a bit about drawing in the process.
it all started to get him to the table to eat his dinner one night. michael made the dot to dot pizza on the right for ezra first, and then ezra made the bigger one on the left afterward.
he adds wonderful little details like the exhaust coming out of the back of this car and the design on the bottom of the car (i believe it's a lightning bolt) and on the wheels.
and then... (i love this about kids and the power of modeling for them) he started making his own dot to dot pictures.
here is michael at work on the latest dot to dot, my favorite so far.
even though michael's been working hard at studying, it's been nice to have him at home able to interact with us all a little more. we all love his presence in our lives and are hoping that our future will have him in a position to work some days from home.
and here it is!
a rocket ship with lightning bolts, a checker board pattern, a number one and the letter m.

ReplyDeletethis is such a geat idea. i love the rocket ship with the lightning bolt. we love it when Daddy is home with us. he works a lot, too, so when he is home we enjoy him as much as possible.

Awesome, great job Dad!!! It's funny, Hubs always won out when it came to doing fun learning stuff with the kids. If I presented the material, or game, it just wasn't the same :).
