our first week here we had the wonderful opportunity to go to a friend's beach house in
half moon bay on
moss beach. it was so cool. the house itself was a sweet little three bedroom beach cottage surrounded by a wide deck complete with driftwood, potted succulents, a jacuzzi, barbecue, a weathered teak table and chairs where we had lunch and a hammock that everyone had to try out. inside there were favorite american vintage games (is the seventies considered vintage?) and a puppy puzzle that was put together by all but me and the baby after a couple of hours were spent down on the beach (right in front of the house down a steep and rocky path). the kids buried matthew (it's becoming a family tradition now) and crowned him the prince of moss beach. after indy nursed on the beach, i brought him up to take a nap in one of the bedrooms (this is where beach houses become the only way to go to the beach again with a baby) and snuck out a few times to snap pictures of ezra and eva hopping in the waves down below after checking out the house some more, the garden and the neighbor's buoy collection. later there was peppermint green tea and family togetherness all in this memorable little getaway place in a magical little beach town called half moon bay. i think i could live there forever.

for dinner we met theresa at a great italian restaurant called
pasta moon on the adorable main street of town. the food was fantastic, i had the spaghetti puttanesca loaded with fresh seafare and ezra had pepperoni pizza (what else?) - and i think everything tastes better after a day on the beach. ezra did declare the tiramisu we shared, "my favorite!" and i think it's mine too.
gorgeous pics, gorgeous kids, gorgeous mamma!
