i took this picture this morning before michael went off to work. ezra asked if he could hold indy in the chair while i made my morning cup of tea. well of course you can sweet big brother. the two played with a musical octopus and indy's baby piano for quite a while, allowing me to snap a smattering of pictures while drinking my tea beside them. i got one with both boys looking and smiling! nothing short of a small miracle. indy loves the camera, but ezra not so much. i've always been a candid picture taker and haven't taught him the art of posing. here i relied on the good old, "say cheese!" and it worked. by golly! who'd ever thunk it. perhaps i'm on to something. ezra is so loving to his baby brother. i love overhearing him talk to him when we're driving in the car or when the two are alone together in one of their rooms. ezra often tells him what he'll be able to do when he's older (like if you don't like what they offer you to eat, you can just say no thank you and they'll make you your favorite food) and loves to say, "when you get five, i'll be ten. and when you get six, i'll be eleven" and so on. one of the beauties i'm grateful for in our homeschooling experience is the strong bond that is forging between these young brothers. this is a wonderful time for ezra to witness the growth and development of his little brother and to be a part of it each step of the way. and for indy to have a sharing big brother with so many toys already! well, he's a very lucky baby.

I knew Ezra would love his little brother and it's nice they can spend time together entertaining each other so you can have a minute or two to yourself! Great photo!!
ReplyDeleteYES - the bond between two brothers is great. The best part about them spending time together at home and where ever they travel. They are so cute - they will always have a teammate - someone on their side!!!!!
ReplyDeletewhat gorgeous boys!
ReplyDeleteI love sibling love, it just melts a mother's heart.
it is something that needs to be nurtured from a birth so they will always feel the connection.

beautiful A ♥
=) They are so adorable.
ReplyDeleteAnushka, I have been so absent from my blogland the last few months but i finally feel like it's time to start visiting again. I can't believe how much Indy has grown. When I was last here, he was still such a new baby. As far as brotherhood goes, I feel honoured to be witness to the relationship my two boys have together. They both go back to school today and I am trying hard not to be sad.
