sycamore canyon

remember when i told you about riding the 8 miles through sycamore canyon to the beach in my post on our reminiscent bike ride near our old home?  well last weekend we took the lovely ride through the canyon filled with oaks and sycamores canopied over our heads along the pathway down to sycamore beach.

michael and ezra took the lead because ezra has a thing about being first these days.

i still managed to take hundreds of pictures as i rode my bike steering with my left hand.  they weren't that great though...

but, it was fun to capture what was behind me without looking.

when we stopped for a break in the middle of the canyon i sat on a large sycamore and took this silly picture.  you know i have a thing for shadows.

i did have to stop sometimes to take pictures like this,

and this.

here is the sign at the end of the trail just before we crossed over pch to sycamore beach.

it was a very cold and windy day at the beach that day, but it felt 20 degrees warmer than it had last weekend in san francisco

fortunately, we had our trusty drivers come pick us up in the trucks to bring us home.
