this week...

while michael started his first rotation at the university of miami teaching hospital,
ezra and i stayed home and played with his trains.

we all got cupcakes at whole foods.
ezra ate some of the frosting off of his and we all ate the rest later together in bed.

we went to publix and bought groceries.

the street was worked on outside our door every morning starting at 8:00 a.m.
beep beep beep, vrrooooom, zzzzz, all morning long.

we stopped to admire the nature living amongst us in this bustling city.

ezra got a windmill to go with his train set as a reward for putting up with 3-5 hour afternoons spent driving with our realtor looking for a place to live.  at almost every place ezra would say, "can we move in now?"  well we finally found the one and we get to move in next wednesday when we will happily leave this place we are staying where the walls are paper thin and we can hear the reveler's party music next door start up around 9:00 p.m. and are still hearing it as i type this at 10:30 at night, where we hear the sounds of the workmen in the street in the morning, and where we have to keep the lights on all day to bring light into our living space.  our new home will have natural light, be far from noisy neighbors (or at least have thick enough walls not to hear them) and street noise, and is right on the beach with a warm breeze blowing on our balcony from the atlantic ocean 11 floors below.

  1. Oh, I'm so glad you found a better place to live. You seem like such a peaceful person, I'm sure you'll love not hearing that banging & honking all day! A warm ocean breeze is sounding so dreamy right now.
