puerperium cardigan






i knit this for a dear friend's newborn son born just two days ago!  i'm so glad i finished and mailed it off in time as this little sweater is especially sized for newborns.  luckily he's a colorado boy and will need a bit of woolen warmth against his skin.  the turtle appliqué was an afterthought to cover a pucker in my stitches.  but, i think that and the ladybug button give it that extra special something for a very special friend's new baby.

    Oh - I love this sweater - so well done and cute. It will be very special and perfect for Colorado. I am not brave enough to knit a sweater yet - maybe one day you can walk me through it Anushka!!!!

    I love this pattern, very nice to knit. I have just finished one for my sister-in-law. The turtle is such a nice little addition and the yarn colour is gorgeous! x
