a beret, a bunting, and a book

these are my current daily distractions.  i'm trying to keep myself busy on the couch where i still spend many hours a day waiting for baby to make his arrival.  today has been mostly rainy and cold, making it a great day for snuggling on the couch with ezra and these items of distraction.  the beret is from this recipe using some stash yarn gifted to me by my sister in law (it's my second one and i like the pattern because you can use any yarn you want with it), the baby bunting is halfway done using the suggested soft and spongey cascade sierra wool/cotton blend yarn, and the book is "how to knit a love song," by rachael herron.  i read another of her books and enjoyed the steamy romance.  this one is quite similar - strong cowboy type man meets beautiful woman who knits.  they are quick reads and have some excitement in the plot that keeps you turning the pages.  this is not a recommendation for a serious intellectual read by any means, but any knitter who wants a satisfying page turner, may like her books.  i plan on picking up her other one at the library after i finish this one.  now, off to see what everyone else is knitting!
