fall and friends

 it is finally fall here.  we have met our friends in the afternoon halfway down the beach twice now since the weather change and since gigi went back to california.  there is a beautiful wind, as ezra calls it, that has blown the humid air and mosquitos far away and brought out rippling waves and daring kite surfers on the sea.  ezra has been wearing his cape lately.  i like the way it wraps around him like a cloak on our pathway to the beach and blows behind him like he's in flight on our way back home after visiting.  our friends were away on a trip while gigi was here (perfect timing) and so the reunion for them both has been so sweet to watch.  there have been lots of smiles, giggles, arms around each other and gentle wrestling in the sand.  we are so grateful for the friends we make along our journey.
