rain, rain, go away...

we've been singing that song per ezra's request, because i've secretly been hoping it stays a while.  i have enjoyed the cozying up inside and even the more pleasurable time outside in the wet cooler weather.

here we are sometime during the last 5 days of grey rainy weather snuggling inside as if we were really in a cold climate.  it's just that the a/c combined with no sun shining through the windows makes it extra chilly inside.  it's still been a balmy 80 degrees outside with all this rain.

we've enjoyed our time inside playing, knitting, and reading

and yesterday ezra got a hold of my camera and shot 400 pictures all around the apartment.  i've yet to upload and take a look, but am excited to see the world once again through his lens.  we left his camera (my old lumix) in california by accident.  he loves taking pictures as much as i do.  it was quite fun to watch him yesterday taking pictures of his world and laughing at some of the things he was capturing.

after an hour of picture taking he looked outside to see if it was still raining and when he saw that it wasn't he begged to go to the library.

we walked side by side with the stroller full of books to be returned and ezra wore his cape.

the library here is a little gem.  i thought it was too small when we first went to it, but have now deemed it the perfect size for us.  we can also order anything from the entire miami-dade system, so bereft of good titles, we are certainly not.

our children's library has virtually everything i want for ezra.

on the way back ezra was trying to escape from my capturing his photograph!

he wanted to see after each take if it was blurry.

he likes that -

and blue nail polish.

elmo and pippi came along and back with a full load of more books under the rain cover just in case.

this boy can push the stroller like a pro!  just in time for baby to come along.
i know he's going to be a huge help.
