linking up with small things
on the needles: puerperium cardigan
reading: "simplicity parenting" by kim john payne
i'm loving the cardy pattern by kelly brooker. this is knitting up fast and i think i'll be making a few.
the book is getting better, but i am skipping over a lot of it because i've read so much on the subject of waldorf style parenting that it isn't new to me. if it were, i'm sure i'd be giving it higher praises.
do you think he likes his long stockings? this was taken during a little jig he was doing for me. as long as he's only in his underwear, he can wear these long wool socks here in miami inside the apartment. the weather is changing. fall is officially here. but, i think my longing for wool socks, mittens, and scarves is a little far fetched when cooled off still means 85 degrees fahrenheit. nevertheless, i'm happy and ezra is too. we've been to the beach almost every day these last 5 days and i'm not breaking a sweat every time we walk to the library or playground anymore. i may even start bringing my knitting to the beach!
beautiful photos!

Oh those stockings are amazing!! And so is the cardigan! Have you picked out buttons yet? I always find the button choice to be extremely difficult...
ReplyDeleteAngela sent me here to take a look at your blog and I very much like it (not quite sure if I'm supposed to write in English or German, though...). And I also found you via Ginny's Yarn Along. I will be happy to come back and visit again =)
Kind regards,
Maike
I'm glad to hear it's cooler and more bearable for you. Those stockings are fantastic! Were they difficult to make? Great modeling Ezra! p.s I love the paintings in the background xo
ReplyDeleteAw, he looks like a rock star in his stockings.
ReplyDeleteLove your puerperium too. Told you, it's such an addictive pattern.
Oh those stockings are amazing! I have a little blondie too.
ReplyDeleteWarm wishes,
Tonya
The cardi looks beautiful, the stitches are so well defined. Great choice of book :)
ReplyDeleteYour boy is totally gorgeous, surfer boys always make me smile, more so since my little dude had his hair all chopped off recently (his choice):(
xx
Love those socks and the photo. I can only imagine the patience you have to knit a pair of socks that long. Sometimes a boy just has to release his inner Pippi.
