we've been hanging out with my cousins from germany since sunday. they are staying with us for three weeks! ezra hasn't seen them since he was 2 1/2 when we were last in frankfurt. he was rather shy when they first arrived sunday night. but, monday morning he stopped hiding around the corner after he opened his loot of lego, steiff penguin, german chocolate and a game i used to play as a little girl called "flohspiel." after a morning spent together on the floor helping him build his new lego boat, ezra declared, "they play with me mom!" it has since been non-stop fun with these two around. they remind me of how fun it was to live with four sisters (they have two more) when i lived with them my sophomore year of high school. they make me want to have more kids. i love having a house full of family!
today we were in south beach.
we walked down española way,
headed to the boardwalk,
where ezra played at lummus playground
and then we walked along the beach.
ezra loved the tide pools and kept saying, "i found the biggest puddle!"
and we all got in this one together. it was a spectacular day. i'm tired in the best way.

ReplyDeleteOh wow, it's wonderful that you have so much family that comes and to visit--from Germany no less!! I can tell you have a close knit bunch. Your pictures are fantastic--that mural--wow and what the heck! Ezra looks like he is having a blast and I am so happy for you!!
