since returning to southern california, ezra's grandparents have had a few birds there was another baby barn owl, a red-tailed hawk and this cute little cooper's hawk. we watched bee and grandpa hydrate and feed it. they are a great pair when they handle these birds that come into their lives. grandpa does the holding and bee does the feeding. she noticed that his left foot was swollen as you can see in the last few pictures. this might have been part of the reason he needed to be rescued. hopefully he has healed since being brought to the ojai raptor center and is back flying high in the sky!
