it was a cold and blustery day at the marin headlands last weekend.
this water was moving fast under the bridge we crossed over to get to the beach.
the old army barracks look out over the steely pacific ocean.
you cannot see it here in the distance, but it is there.
the sand was black and warm so some of us took our shoes off.
ezra tried to ride his bike over the sand,
but it was too difficult.
i braved the wind to get closer to the shore to get some pictures of the green-gray sea,
but we took cover like this family safely behind a sand dune and sat for a while.
we were freezing!
ezra was all bundled up and happy to run across the bridge after we met up again. michael had taken him to ride his bike along the streets between the barracks while we were hiding behind the sand dune.
he ran to give out hugs to his loving annie

and christopher. we love them.
